| Christian "Christy" Arney, Sr. He was born in York(town), York County, Pennsylvania. He moved, with his family, to the area of Tryon County, North Carolina, around 1767. He married Anna Catherine Keener July 13, 1777. Not longer after getting married though, Christian served in the American Revolutionary War, serving in both the famous "Battle of Ramsour's Mill" and "Battle of Kings Mountain". Christian served as mainly as a Scout. After Christian's father, Jacob, passed away Christian inherited much if not all of his father's land, and remained in the area of Lincolnton, in Lincoln County, North Carolina, until his death in 1834.
